International Human Rights Day

The event is free and open to the public.

Human Rights Day is observed worldwide every year on December 10, in commemoration of the day in 1948 that the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Topics to be discussed include:
Human Trafficking: Ms. Cecelia Gomez
Religious Freedom: Dr. Amir Arain
Education: Mr. Avi Poster

In addition, the following awards will be presented:

Lifetime Human Rights Advocate:
Dr. Sheila Peters
Mr. Jerry Lee

Rising Human Rights Advocate:
Mr. MarQo Patton
Ms. Remziya Suleyman
