Young Professional’s Dinner Discussion on the Global Refugee Crisis and its Impact on Middle Tennessee

Tuesday, January 26th at 6:30 pm

Cummins Station Boardroom (Suite 422)

209 10th Ave S. Nashville, TN 37203

Guest Speaker: Fady Al-Hagal, World Relief Nashville

Discussion topic: The Global Refugee Crisis and its Impact on Middle Tennessee

The number of displaced persons is at an all-time high, as refugees flee conflicts in Syria, Iraq and parts of Africa. The war in Syria alone has resulted in more than half the Syrian population in need of urgent assistance. A number of world powers find themselves facing a difficult question: how can they balance border security with humanitarian concerns? More importantly, what can they do to resolve these crises so as to limit the number of displaced persons? We invite you to come learn about and discuss the complexity of the global crisis, its impact on Middle Tennessee, and how Middle Tennesseans can help.

Event and dinner are FREE.
