Urge your Senators to Expand Access to Study Abroad

The bipartisan Senator Paul Simon Study Abroad Program Act of 2023 has been introduced in Congress and promises to be a game-changer in terms of expanding access to the critical skills that study abroad experiences provide.

Please join NAFSA in urging your senators to become a bill cosponsor. If one or more of your elected officials is already on the bill, you will be able to send a note of appreciation. If you are represented by one of the bill's original bill sponsors (Senators Durbin and Wicker), please be sure to express your appreciation for their leadership.

Seeking Better Relationships Between the United States and the United Nations

Ted Turner, a media tycoon, established the Better World Campaign (BWC) as a component of his United Nations Foundation, which he initiated with a $1 billion donation to the United Nations in 1998. The BWC aims to promote proactive leadership in the United States for global involvement.

By becoming an advocate for the BWC, you'll support various United Nations projects, including UNESCO funding and UN initiatives on climate change. Crucially, through your efforts with the BWC, you'll help to ensure the United States Government fully funds the United Nations through their appropriations process.
