Dear UNA Member:

Thank you for your membership support for the United Nations Association of the United States of America.  Thank you for your contributions as a resident of the state of Tennessee.  And thank you for being an active dues paying member of the UNA-Nashville Cordell Hull Chapter.  You are in the country’s largest group of advocates for the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations, a network of 200 chapters, and 20,000 members around the country.  I was voted in and began as the new President of the UNA-Nashville Cordell Hull Chapter during the annual summer luncheon on July 15, 2023. A new cohort for the board of directors was also elected and inducted for a two-year term.  Welcome our Officers!

The Nashville Cordell Hull Chapter offers the following opportunities to our members:

  • Serve in leadership roles in the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and as Committee Chairs and Committee Members of the Nashville Cordell Hull Chapter to uphold the vision, mission, and goals of the United Nations.

  • Engage in the planning and implementation of the Chapter’s spring, summer, and fall activities to contribute to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals within our local communities.

  • Access to the United Nations national and regional events and experts, and special programs through our local UNA-USA chapter.

  • Mentor our local youth and young professionals to become global citizens.

The Chapter had its first Board Meeting under the new leadership on August 1, 2023, and the following activities have been approved for fall 2023.

In conjunction with the UN Climate Change Conference, the Nashville Chapter will host:

Theme: Annual Chapter Membership Celebration and UN Climate Change Panel 

Venue: Avon Williams Campus, Tennessee State University 330 10th Ave N, Nashville

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Luncheon

In partnership, the UN Day celebrations in October will take place at the Nashville Cultural Festival in Davidson County as well as the ‘Boro International Festival in Rutherford County.
